What is EFT?
EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques, often simply called “tapping.” It’s a gentle process where you use your fingertips to tap on specific points on your body while focusing on thoughts, feelings, or memories. This helps calm your nervous system, ease emotional stress, and release the stuck patterns that keep you anxious or overwhelmed.
It’s simple, safe, and surprisingly powerful. In fact, many people feel lighter and more peaceful after just one session.
Optimal EFT (OEFT) is a newer, even more gentle approach that doesn’t involve tapping at all. It works more like a guided meditation, using focused intention to clear emotional blocks. It’s often faster and deeply soothing, and I love using it alongside traditional EFT to give you the best of both worlds.
I’ve studied both methods directly through Gary Craig’s official courses and have had the opportunity to clarify my questions with him personally. My approach follows the techniques he teaches, as I believe in staying true to the original foundations of EFT and Optimal EFT.
